Things have been crazy busy in the Johnson house lately. I decided to take advantage of Kaleb taking a nap by updating my blog. Since so much has gone on lately, I am going to post a bunch of random pictures. Enjoy!

My beautiful sister-in-law Stephanie passed away in a car accident Friday night. I would like to let everyone know that the funeral for my dear sister in law Stephanie will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Stake Center located at 650 Anderson Drive in Brigham City. A viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night at Myer's Mortuary located just East of the Brigham City Tabernacle. There will also be a viewing at 10:00 am Wednesday at the Stake Center before the funeral. I love her so much and miss everything about her. She was such a great Mom to my baby and I know right now she is with her baby girl Aspen. Aspen is very lucky to have such a great Mom. Love you Fannie May.

I have been slacking big time on updating my blog. I still don't have time to post anything because Kaleb is going to wake up any second and be very hungry. However, I did want to post a couple pictures so you can see how cute my little guy is. I love him so much and I can't believe how big he is getting already!! Plus he is such a happy baby. I have people tell me this all the time, so it must be true :) He is always smiling! I can never get anything done after work because all I want to do is make him smile. What a cutie!

Kaleb's Baby Blessing

Kaleb and Rya had their baby blessings on August 2nd. They looked so cute! James and Joel gave them beautiful blessings. Of course Kaleb was crying, but that is my son for you! He was perfect before the blessing and all day after, but during Rya's blessing he started to get mad and then screamed during his entire blessing. Apparently he was so mad he was arching his back and squirming all over. That is my son! Haha.

My family drove up from Provo and I was so thankful for that. It really meant a lot for them to be there. I know Kaleb is also very greatful for their love and support.

Bear Lake

This summer we have been able to spend a few weekends in Bear Lake. It has been such a blast! We are able to stay on Uncle Dell Loy's property. Talk about beautiful! Below are a ton of pictures from Kaleb's first trip to Bear Lake.

Dell Loy put on a big firework show by the lake. It was awesome! They were so big he had to have the Fire Marshall there! I think Kaleb enjoyed them.

This is the cabin we stay at in Bear Lake. We basically throw down a bunch of mattress on the floor and have a huge sleepover. Quite the experience, but I love it!

Kaleb's was such a good boy this 4th of July. I wasn't sure how well he would handle the fireworks and he did great! We took him to the Logan fireworks and my favorite fireworks show in Brigham City. I love, love the Brigham City fireworks. We laid our blankets out on the grass and the fireworks were directly above our heads. It was so fun! We attempted to put ear plugs in Kaleb's ears, but they didn't stay in very well :) Haha!

The video is not the greatest, but here is Kaleb watching the fireworks! I think he loved them :)

My little boy is so strong! We tried tummy time for the first time yesterday. I thought I should get some video of this. . . I sure am glad I did. He is 3 weeks old tomorrow and can already roll over! As a matter of fact, he did it two other times during this tummy time. I knew it wouldn't take long because he sleeps on his side and has always been so strong. He has been holding his head up from day 1! Anyway, below is the video. I am such a proud Mom :)

Welcome our little boy Kaleb James Johnson!

So we finally welcomed Kaleb to this world on June 3, 2009. Our lives have never been the same since. At 12:30 am on June 3rd, my water broke. I was sleeping and James was just getting ready to go to bed after working on his homework. My water only slightly broke, so I was a little unsure of what to do. I had the baby's bag packed, but not mine. So I hurried and instructed James to pack my bag. I think we were both in shock. I just couldn't believe that it really was time! So around 1:30 am we headed off to the hospital. On the drive to the hospital I started getting really bad contractions. I also had bad back labor pains. That was the worst! By the time we got to the hospital, I was already ready to get the epidural. Haha. They got me all hooked up and flowing with meds shortly after we got there. I actually got the epidural pretty soon after getting there as well. The epidural really didn't hurt at all. Especially compared to the contractions I was having. The one crappy thing was I could still feel the contractions on the left side of my abdomen. So they gave me some more pain medicine and tried to fix the epidural. After no luck and still some pain, they took out the epidural and did it again. Thankfully it worked this time. However, my legs were super numb! I couldn't move them at all.

Continuing throughout the night I wasn't progressing very quickly. So I slept as much as I could and so did James. This actually passed the time which was nice. My nurse Gina was awesome! Kaleb took up much of her attention though. Every time I would have a contraction, his heart rate would drop. It was actually quite scary. Dr Fowers could see the monitor at his house with my contractions and his heart rate, so he was up all night keeping an eye on him. I also had a lot of blood loss so they were getting a little nervous. Dr Fowers let Gina know that he would be at the hospital around 6:45 am. Then at 6:15 am he wrote Gina a message on the monitor that he was coming right then! I started to get really nervous because I knew something was wrong. Gina prepped everything for Dr. Fowers to come and he was there shortly. They waited till I was dilated to a 9 and then had me start pushing. I wasn't complete yet, but Dr Fowers found out that Kaleb was posterior and wanted to try moving him to the correct position. He was able to, but as soon as he let go of his head and I had another contraction, Kaleb flipped back to the way he was. Stubborn little boy! So then they started talking about using the forceps or vacuum or a possible c-section. I really, really did not want to have a c-section. They let me continue to push and see if I could progress any more. After there was no progress, the Dr. said we need to get him out in 15 minutes. I knew I couldn't push any longer. Dr Fowers recommended a c-section. He also mentioned if we tried the forceps, we could give him a skull fracture. I wanted to do what was best for Kaleb, so we decided on doing a c-section.

The room was already prepped for a scheduled c-section at 7:30 am. So they bumped me right in. They threw James some scrubs and we were off to the operating room. The epidural was starting to make me super shaky, plus I was way nervous about the c-section. They gave me some more medication and I couldn't feel anything from my chest down. It was very scary because I almost felt like I couldn't breath. Then they raised a curtain up so both James and I couldn't see anything. I think it was definitely best that way. They had me lay with my arms outstretched to the sides. I don't know why but that was the most uncomfortable thing ever! I was shaking uncontrollably and I am sure James was freaking out inside. They started prepping my belly and I could still feel them. I kept saying please make sure I can't feel you before you start. All I could feel was pressure after the medicine kicked in. It didn't take too long until they said they could see the umbilical cord and Kaleb's little hand. Then I felt this big weight come out of my belly. It was the strangest feeling ever. They then said that the umbilical cord was tightly wrapped twice around Kaleb's neck. No wonder I wasn't progressing when I was pushing. Plus if we would've tried the forceps that could have been really bad. They brought Kaleb over to the crib and I got to see James cut the cord. Kaleb was born at 7:32 am and weighed 5 lbs 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. They told me the umbilical cord was a little small and maybe he didn't get enough nutrients which could have contributed it his small weight. He is a tall skinny little boy!!

After the c-section, I did not feel good at all. My jaw was locked from my teeth chattering and shaking. I felt super sick. James brought Kaleb over to show me and I couldn't even look at him. I had to lean my head to the side and start throwing up. All of the medicine was really starting to catch up to me. They gave me some medicine to help with the nausea and that knocked me out. After they wheeled me out of the operating room they asked if I wanted to see my baby boy or take a quick power nap. I had no strength and felt awful. So, I took a quick nap and tried to get myself together.

James brought Kaleb into see me not too long after. I was able to hold him (with some help) and enjoy my little boy. I was totally out of it that day, but I do remember what a great experience this all was. Probably a little more traumatic that I would've liked, but I am just so glad that everything is ok with Kaleb. My time in the hospital was great. We ended up having to be there for 3 days, but it was much needed time to recover. The nurses were awesome! They took such good care of us. Kaleb's weight dropped to 5 lbs 6 ounces, but it has stabilized since then and is actually going up now. On the last day we were in the hospital, he had to be under the lights for jaundice. That was awful. I felt so bad for him! And I could only sit there and watch him. We were afraid we would have to take the lights home with us. But when they tested his bilirubin levels the next day, he was in the low risk zone and was doing great! Below are a few pictures of the cutest boy ever!! Don't worry, we have already taken so many pictures so I will be posting more later. Plus I have some pretty cute videos of him.

Ok so it has been a really long time since I have posted anything! Here is a quick update of what we have been up to lately.

Britney Spears

Back when I was 7 months pregnant, Ashley and I went to the Britney Spears Concert. It was so much fun! She put on quite a performance and we were very entertained! I wonder what people were thinking when they saw a pregnant girl dancing to Britney. . . haha! Thanks for the tickets Mom!

General Conference

I was able to go to the April General Conference this year with James. I have never been to Conference and it was such a great experience. Even though we were sitting on the last row :)

Ashley's UVU Graduation

Congratulations Ashley! My cute sister got her Associates Degree in Behavioral Science. This meant so much to her and the family!

Well, I just wanted the world to know that my wife is the cutest pregnant woman in the world!!!! Yep, she is pretty much the hottest pregnant girl I know and she doesn't even have to try, she just is freaking amazing and I love her and I know she will be the cutest and best mom for baby Kaleb!

Just about 31 weeks. . .

Well we haven't taken many pictures lately, so I might as well update you on baby Kaleb. He is still just as active as ever! We actually went to a prenatal class this weekend (yes my husband probably didn't want to be there, but was so supportive) and the teacher said that if your baby is active now, he most likely will have that same personality when he is born. We sure are in for it if that is true! Haha! But we are super excited. As you can see from the picture below, my belly keeps on growing! The main problem - my clothes are starting not to fit. I really, really do not want to get any more maternity clothes but I am afraid I may have to. I would so much rather buy cute baby clothes than clothes I am not going to wear very long! Oh well.

The other new and exciting thing that James and I have been up to is the purchase of our new town home! Right now is a great time to buy. These newly constructed town homes are part of a new development in Hyrum called Elk Mountain. They have only built one strip of units and they are now beginning the next sets. With these first units, they put all sorts of upgrades into the homes. They realized they couldn't afford to continue to do all of these upgrades in the next units, so the home we purchased is awesome! We also have a big backyard of grass and don't have to look into anothers home. The other great thing is will we will be next door neighbors with Jarom and Nicci - James brother and wife :)!! They were actually the ones that found these town homes and right when I saw them I knew they were perfect for our little family. Jarom and Nicci just moved into theirs this week and I absolutely love it. I can't wait till ours is finished now. Everything moved really quickly with this purchase. There was actually a lot of interest in our unit so we had to move fast. It is an end unit with 2 bedrooms and a finished basement. We added a closet to the basement and that way we can sell it as 3 bedrooms. So total it has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. Once we get some pictures I will have to post them. Our settlement date is April 29th and that is coming right up! We have had a designer help us pick all of the colors and cabinets and countertops, so it should look great. I just have to trust her! We did a few accent walls in a Latte color and when I first saw them I got nervous they were too dark. But after looking at it more, I realized I need to trust her and it is going to look great! I will post pictures as soon as I get them :)

24 Weeks and Counting!

I haven't posted pictures of my belly, so I thought I would share a few :) I swear it keeps growing more and more each week. I had to post the second picture because if you look closely, my belly is slightly pointed and I am not kidding that is exactly where he was hanging out when we took the picture. It is almost as if you can see him posing for the picture! Hehe! Oh and I think we have decided on a name for this sweet baby boy. . . Kaleb James Johnson! There were a few other names we were thinking about, but this one just stuck. Kaleb is so active and it is so fun to feel him move around each day. He is already taking after his Dad! Kaleb is most active at night and it is so cool because James and him play back and forth with each other. I would never trade this experience for anything. Some days are hard and my body gets so worn out, but it is totally worth it!

On January 3rd we celebrated our 2 Year Anniversary. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We have already been through so much with each other and I am so excited for what is to come. . .

I love James so much and I couldn't imagine life without him. I am constantly reminded of how great of a husband I have by all of the little things he does for me. I am so excited to begin life with our new baby and I know that James will be the greatest father. He is such a great pillar of strength in my life and supports me in everything I am involved in. James works so hard and I am so thankful for him. I love you James and I am so blessed to be able to spend my life and eternity with you!

Happy Late Birthday! James' birthday was the day after Christmas, so I am a little behind with this post. I almost decided not to post about it because I am so late, but his birthday gets forgotten enough with Christmas :) Anyway, some of these pictures are way funny!

All of the parts to get his stereo installed in his car! This was such a great gift. He always wants to drive his car now that he has a CD player.

Here is James putting together one of the most perfect gifts from Larry and Ashley. As most of you may know, James loves to work out. Now he can workout in our apartment with his Iron Gym! I won't even begin to tell you how many pull ups he does at night. He is crazy and I love him!

We also got to go out to eat with the whole family for his birthday. Usually his birthday gets the shaft since it is the day after Christmas. But I tried really hard this year to make it extra special. We even took him shopping to pick out his birthday presents. He has never done that because it is the day after Christmas. Happy Birthday James! I love you so much!

Just a warning - there are a lot of pictures below :) We had a great Christmas this year. We were able to spend a lot of time with both our families and we couldn't ask for anything more!

James got me a huge Christmas present this year and we were not able to take it to my house. So, I opened it on Christmas Eve before we left for the Johnson's. It is the most beautiful picture of the temple! Oh and don't mind the slight baby bump in the above picture. But don't worry, it is not that little of a bump anymore! I will have to post pictures later :)

I have definitely been a slacker on updating my blog. I am just now posting pictures from Thanksgiving. We had a great time in Provo and Brigham City this Thanksgiving. Here are a few pictures from our holiday trip.

Baby update. . .

This is just a quick update on how the baby is doing. I am a little behind on this, but I thought I would share the information anyway. I had my first ultrasound about 4 weeks ago (see I am way behind!) It was so cool! The baby had a good heartbeat and was squirming and kicking like crazy. The baby didn’t stop moving and flipping around – I definitely have a James Johnson in my belly. We then had another doctor’s appointment on Monday for the 15 week check up. We got to hear the heartbeat and once again the nurse said the baby was actively moving! These doctor’s appointments start to make things seem a little more real. Also the fact that my clothes are getting a little tight, but I won’t go into that! The doctor told me in the next couple of weeks my belly should start to show and then I won’t be able to hide it anymore. That is exciting, but it also is still the stage where people are not going to know for sure if I am pregnant or not. That is always awkward. We will be finding out what we are having January 21^st and I am so excited! I am kind of hoping for a girl, but for some reason I feel like I am having a boy. Maybe that is because there are so many boys in the Johnson family, I feel like I am sure to add to the bunch! I will keep everyone posted on my next ultrasound and I promise I won’t wait this long next time.

A couple weeks ago was my sister's 21st birthday. We had so much fun! James and I went to Provo and celebrated her birthday with the whole family. I also got a new haircut! I randomly decided I was sick of my same hairstyle. So, when I got to Provo I booked an appointment with someone I didn't know (very brave of me) and chopped off 6 inches. I never do anything to my hair unless I go to my hairstylist, but I had this sudden urge to cut it off right then! Good thing I like it! Below are a lot of pictures from the weekend :)

So, I dropped my camera, which I have never done before. and the one time I did it broke. They told me I might as well buy a new one because it would be so much to fix. It drove me crazy not having a camera so what did I have to do - go buy a new one immediately. . . hehe! Below are a few pictures taken from my new camera. After the Peach Days softball tournament, James and his brothers all decided to buzz their heads. Actually James, Jake, and Jarom did - but not John. However, Jarom cut a piece of John's hair so he would have to buzz it. :) Let's just say John was not too happy. I think they all look so good though!

Well the Johnson boys are officially off the market. . . hehe! John and Stephanie got married August 5th. We now have another Stephanie Lynn Johnson in the family. Not only do they have they same first name, but the same middle name as well! Weird! They got married in the Salt Lake Temple. That is where James and I got married and it brings back so many memories. I love this temple! Here are a bunch of pictures from their wedding day.

4th of July Weekend!

Happy 4th of July! By the way, I have been updating my blog today so check out my 2 other new posts below :) This 4th of July we were able to spend it in Logan and Brigham City. Last year we were in Hawaii and I really missed the fireworks in Utah. I know that sounds weird, but the Brigham City fireworks are awesome! We lay out our blankets on the baseball field and the fireworks are directly above our heads. It is so cool!

James, Jarom, Nicci, Joanna, and I went boating in Mantua the next day. It was way fun! I got rocked wake boarding, but it was still fun :) This was Joanna's first time wake boarding and she did really good! She actually did better than me. When I got up, Jarom had to turn the boat and so I went flying outside of the wake. I was going so fast and then smacked the water after my board got ripped off my feet. Ya it felt as bad as it sounds!

I don't know why we got the urge to shave James' hair! He has beautiful hair, but we were bored and so we buzzed his head. He actually looks really cute! :)

Remember awhile back when I said I was called to be the Young Women's Camp Director. . . well I survived camp! I was really nervous when I got this calling, but this was one of the greatest experiences for me. I grew a strong love for these girls in just the few days we were at camp. We had camp in American Fork at the Altamont camp site. It was beautiful! Our Young Women's theme was S.T.A.R.S. (Standing Together As Righteous Sisters). The leaders in my ward helped me so much and I couldn't be more thankful for them. If it wasn't for them, I don't think I would've survived camp :) The food was amazing! And testimony meeting made camp perfect. I see the love these girls have for the gospel and I couldn't be more proud of them. I know that they will always remember this experience and I am so glad I was able to be a part of it. The first day we arrived to camp we hiked up to Stewart Falls. If you haven't done this yet, I definitely recommend it. The waterfall was amazing.

We had the coolest pavilion in the middle of our camp site. It was perfect weather and didn't rain. But if it did, we were prepared!

We also hiked up to Timpanogos Cave. That was a very steep hike. The guide said it was as high up as the Empire State Building. I have to admit, that hike was rough!

We ended up cutting out the hike we had planned to Silver Lake. We kind of wore the girls out :) So, the last activity we did was rappelling. That was so cool! I was really nervous at first because if you notice, the beginning is super steep. But once I started going down, it was fine. I will definitely have to do this again!

Ok so it has been a super long time since I have posted and I am finally going to get you updated :) First of all we got a new nephew! Jake and Katie were blessed with Baby Trey and he is darling! Now we have 8 nephews and 2 nieces. Sounds like we need to get some more girls in this family!

In the middle of June, my family went on vacation to Texas to visit my sister Ty and my brother-in-law Coady. It was so much fun! Ty and Coady were are personal tour guides :) We did lots of shopping, went to 2 Yankees and Astros baseball games, and ate tons of food! It was great! Their house is gorgeous. Below are a few pictures so you can understand what I am talking about.

Here we are going to the Yankees game! We went to a night game and a day game on Father's Day. What a great father's day present for my dad. Ty and Coady wore Astros apparel, my dad wore an Astros hat and a Yankees shirt, and of course my mom, Ashley, and I had to be sporting our Yankees apparel.

We showed up to the game about 2 hours early so we could see batting practice. My mom and I went down behind the backstop to see our boys :) Here is Jeter taking batting practice.

Both Ashley and I did not have our husbands with us on this trip. We were very sad they couldn't come, but this was a great chance for me and her to spend lots of time together. I love her so very much and I couldn't ask for a better sister!

Ty and Coady set up a dinner date for ours and Coady's family. It was so nice and the food was to die for! Ty did such a great job making our trip wonderful. I wish so bad that we lived closer to her and Coady. She is the greatest example and I really look up to her.

Today I lost my best friend. Bandit was such a great dog and will truly be missed. He lived to be about 13 1/2 years old and I couldn't be more thankful for the many years I had with him. He died peacefully and it was honestly one of the hardest decisions my family has ever had to make. I actually can't believe how upset I am. . . I know he is in a much better place but things aren't the same without him. We love you Bee Boppin' Bandit Bjarnson!

So things have been going great for James and I. Not too many exciting events have occurred, but I do have some fun pictures and videos to post.

Here is our cute primary class! We teach the 10 year olds and they are great! James gave all of the boys ties from his mission and they loved them. . . they are sporting them in this picture. The girls all got journals and now they keep writing in them and not listening to us :) Dallin is in the middle striking a pose and can I tell you he is just like my husband!

This is a random deer that was sitting on the lawn after I got home from work the other day. It was so crazy because he or she was right next to my car and didn't move. It sat there forever staring at me.

Then when I got out of my car, it jolted right in front of me into the backyard! It was so cool.

BUT, I don't have any recent pictures to post and I realized that I didn't post these. One of the crazy snow nights, James and I were shoveling the driveway. After we finished, we decided to play in the snow. . . more like James decided to play in the snow :)

First of all, can I say we get a pretty good workout when we shovel the snow :)

He wasn't even half way deep in the snow. We thought we would sink a lot further, but the snow was so packed that when we jumped on top we pretty much stayed on top.

New Calling!

Right now James and I are primary teachers for the most wonderful 11 year olds. We have 8 kids in our class – 5 boys and 3 girls. I have been very content with my calling and have had no problems. At church yesterday, a member of the bishopric as if James and I were going to be in this same ward during the summer. My first instinct was, oh no, why? : ) But, of course we said yes and then he asked if he could talk to me for a bit. We started talking and he asked me if I would take on one of the biggest callings I have ever had. . . Young Women’s Camp Director! Ahh! I was really stressing out, just ask my husband. Of course I couldn’t say no because there has to be a reason why I was called to do this. The Young Women’s President recommended me because she thought the kids could really look up to me. I just keep thinking, I am one of the youngest married girls in the ward, how could I possibly do this! I haven’t received any of the details yet, but after doing some research online it seems as though I am in charge of planning the whole thing. The meetings, theme, activities, food, etc. This is going to be quite a challenge for me. I think I am almost ready for it. : ) I went to girls camp my first 3 years with my friends, so it has been quite awhile. I pray that things run smoothly and I can plan the best trip for the girls in my ward. I am really nervous, but I guess this will be a test to see if I can handle my future job as an event planner. Any ideas, please shoot them my way. I need all the help I can get. I love you all!

I know it is a Valentine’s tag and I am a little late, but I wanted to take the time to write about my fabulous husband!

Who do you love? James Burt Johnson! The most wonderful, amazing, loving and even fantastic person I have ever met. That one is for you James.

How long did you date? We dated 4 months, were engaged 3 months and have been married for 1 year and almost 2 months!

How old is he? 23

Who said I love you first? James did. . . I am pretty sure he already knew I loved him, so I believe he knew I would say it back. And get this, he said I love you after we had the deepest conversation that probably was pretty hard for him!

Who is taller? James by about 2 inches. But just like Quela, you put the heels on and it is all over. : )

Who can sing better? Definitely James. I don’t really sing out loud. We both sing in the car, but the music from the radio drowns me out. . . hehe! James and his family are all about singing! Any holiday or get together they are singing. I love it!

Who is smarter? Well. . . I have gone through a lot more schooling than James has, but he just had to take an IQ test and did really well! So, I don’t believe that either one of us is smarter than the other.

Who does the laundry? We both do. This is our problem though . . . it is easy to start the laundry, but finishing it is a different story. We have the hardest time putting away our clean clothes. The hanging and the folding feels like an everyday thing and we get so sick of it.

Who does the dishes? We both do. However, it is mostly me. I try to get him to put his dirty dishes in the dishwasher, but he sometimes seems to forget : ) Love you babe!

Who pays the bills? I do. I balance the checkbook and watch our money everyday.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are looking at the bed, James does. At our first apartment it was set up so he would sleep next to the door. It just always scared me to be so close to the door. He was going to protect me! I know stupid! : ) But now, I can’t switch back to the other side so I am next to the door. We are not in an apartment though, so I feel a little safer.

Who mows the lawn? Actually, who we live with hires someone else to mow the lawn. They do all the yard work. Otherwise, we would have a lot of lawn to mow!

Who cooks dinner? We both do. James is actually a pretty good cook. I am trying to get better, but it just takes time I guess. However, I made something really good last night! Thanks to Momma Chele’s cookbook from her ward!

Who drives? Most of the time I drive. Probably because we drive my car the most.

Who is more stubborn? Probably me. I stick to my guns quite often and James will sometimes give in to keep the peace. That is why I love you!

Who has more friends? I have a lot of friends, but the problem is they are all spread out across the state! I am stuck here in Logan, and I don’t get to see most of them. There are very few that still live in Logan. So, probably James if you think about it that way.

Who has more siblings? Definitely James! I have 1 older and 1 younger sister and he has 5 brothers and 1 younger sister.

And that is it! I love James so way much! I couldn’t live without him. I hate our work schedules right now, because he is working when I get off and then he doesn’t get home until 9:00 pm. It kills me because I don’t have my best friend there to talk about my day with. I try to do it when he gets home, but he probably wants to hurt me because I talk non stop. : ) Those of you who know me, know I can sometimes do that . . . hehe!

For those of you who don't know Bandit - this is Bandit! We have had him for about 13 years! And that is Jeter on my back if you can't tell. He always has to be in the picture. . .

So we tried getting a picture with all three of the puppies, but it didn't work out that well. Bandit is a little difficult. Unlike Jeter who always poses for the camera.

Is it ever going to stop snowing!

So, the snow this month is crazy! I can't believe how much we have at our house. One of things we do to live in the apartment in this house, is shovel the snow. We do have two guys who help us quite a bit, but we (mostly James :)) do have our fair share of shoveling. Here are a couple pictures so you can understand exactly what I mean. When I went out to shovel the other day, I was literally having to toss the snow above my head to clear the driveway. Talk about a workout!

This was the amount of snow before the last snow storm we just got. So just imagine a couple more inches :)

See what I was saying about throwing the snow above my head. The snow is higher than my car! By the way, if you haven't seen my new car - here it is! This was James' Christmas surprise for me. We had been talking about it for quite awhile, but I wasn't sure if it we were really going to get it. I love it!

Ok so I just couldn't be a brunette any longer. . . I just had to go back! I really liked being a brunette, but definitely not as much as being a blonde. It is a slow process going back, but she actually got it more blonde than I thought she would on the first try. I just don't want to damage my hair :) Maybe one more appointment and it will be where I like it.

I can't believe that we have been married for 1 year! James and I have grown so close this last year and I can't wait for the many years to come. He means everything to me and I am so happy and blessed to have such a great guy in my life. For our one year anniversary we went down to Salt Lake and stayed in the Marriott for the weekend. On our anniversary we did sealings in the Salt Lake Temple so we could remember what we did a year from that day. It was awesome! I was a little nervous at first, but I was so happy that we went. Then we just spoiled ourselves this weekend. We really needed this get-a-way and it was a perfect way to start out the new year.

We went on a carriage ride around downtown Salt Lake. It was perfect. We rode past the temple and the Wells Fargo building where we had our reception. The weather was pretty warm considering there was snow on the ground. Our horse Ace was a character :) I guess the horses know which intersections they can and can't go to the bathroom at and Ace happened go at one of those intersections. Oh boy can horses go for a long time! Haha! A car behind us was getting a little impatient and honked. Who honks at a horse! :)

This Thanksgiving we spent time at both mine and James' parents. First we had Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandma Bowles' house and it was delicious! Then on Friday we drove to Brigham City and had our annual Thanksgiving sleepover. As you can tell by the pictures below, James and I had quite an exciting weekend :)

So, as I stated in our last blog we did work in Hawaii for 5 weeks this summer. I have heard some requests for pictures. . . so enjoy! I also had to include a picture of our office that we set up in the hotel so you could get the full effect. How would you like to work there for 5 weeks! It was awesome! This is not like your everyday workplace :) I also included a picture of Germaine's Luau. We attended quite of few of those. Each group that arrived went to the Luau and there were only 5 of us working in Hawaii. . . so just imagine :) Hawaii really was a lot of work, but as you can see from some of the pictures we did get a few days off to enjoy. This was such a great experience for us!

After looking at others blogs, we finally decided to create one of our own! I guess it is really my decision more than James' :) With me out of school and him still in school, it leaves me with a little time on my hands as he does his homework. Speaking of school. . . I really miss the summer! Working in Hawaii this summer was such a great experience that sometimes I wish I could go back. I never thought I would say that, but working with my husband was awesome! We got along so well. I was actually surprised. Hehe! But now it is back to working in Logan. I really do love it here, but I hate being so far away from my family and friends. That is another reason why I am so excited about creating a blog. With work, I don't always have a lot of time to catch up with people on the phone but now this makes things a little easier. Anyway, we love everyone and we hope you enjoy our blog. By the way, I know we got married a few months ago but I had to post some of my favorite wedding pictures. Love you!
